This series has fantastic characters and is extremely creative

I’ve always loved the DC universe, and while I think the DCEU was ugly, I’ve been very disappointed with a few DCEU projects. I think when James Gunn says that superhero movies and television have become too generic, that’s their point.

they will be able to do well at the box office as long as they can grab people’s attention and have a special feel to them

There have been so many superhero movies in the last decade that when people see a new one coming out, they don’t go to the theater because they think “just another superhero movie, damn, there’s been too many”; same, just a generic action movie (especially the sequels) I think James Gunn is really going to turn things around and I can’t wait. I also think that since Marvel was so much more popular, DC has a lot of great characters that have been overlooked (by the fans) and I think if everything at DC works for the next few years then it will be the lesser known characters.

But yeah, this was a great start and I see it only getting better from here. "One Hundred Years of Solitude" is one of the biggest TV and streaming releases this month.
