Narrative
It follows Catherine Ravenscroft, a documentary television journalist whose job is to expose wrongdoing at long-respected institutions. In many episodes, Jonathon uses the same lens throughout the series, a medium telephoto. Such a lens would not be able to focus on subjects that are close, like a selfie with Sasha or in the bedroom with Catherine.
The film starts off irritating and uncertain, but slowly builds into an intriguing story
I don’t know if Alfonso has an enemy on IMDb, which explains the brutal and unfair 1-star ratings, but they are completely out of place. It doesn’t seem like a complete mystery at first, more of a tragic drama. But you start to feel like there is more to this story than the seemingly obvious good and evil characters.
The cockroach situation is disturbing and significant
It gets darker and more complex with each episode. So much so that I felt I had to come back here to edit my original review and add stars. Now it’s time for the gray cat.
Curious, mischievous, funny and affectionate
A small detail, but this may be the first show I’ve ever seen that depicts a real cat/human relationship. Like a cat, he’s always by your side. I really appreciate a movie that doesn’t portray the cat as indifferent or even dark.
I hope he wins an Oscar!
The gray cat in this movie has more charm than all the humans put together and steals every scene he’s in. It’s a fantastic series and I totally agree with that!
