Narrative

Avril, a young animal defense lawyer, does everything she can to save her client, a repeat offender dog, from capital punishment. This dog helps Avril come to terms with her own human complexity. During development, Laetitia Dosch met Justine Triet, who told her she was making Anatomija pada (2023), a film about a trial involving a dog and a visually impaired person, with a female protagonist. The similarities almost led Dosch to abandon the project.
